Turquoise Fever!

Shorts- Zara (Similar), Shirt- Forever 21 ( Similar), Bag- Gift, Necklace- Mesa Blue (Here), Heels -Sergio Rossi ( Similar).

Hello!! So I am putting this post together in the middle of packing for London and as excited as I am for this trip to explore areas I've yet to visit and hopefully meet new people, I am so nervous about flying.  This is one fear that I think is getting worse the older I get.  Is anyone else not a fan of flying and please share any tips of how to get over this or how to deal besides ordering a drink or two ha

Anyway I love all shades of blue including turquoise which was the focus for this look. I was however unsure about what color of heels to pair turquoise with besides the usual black/browns.  I settled for grey which I liked.  Thanks for reading/browsing! (By the way excuse the lines on my legs, the gladiator sandals I had on prior to the pics left marks).

Purple & Slit!

Skirt- Boohoo (Similar), Top- Boutique (Similar), Heels- BCBG (Here), Bag- Marc Jacobs (Here, Similar).

Hello! hope you enjoyed the weekend.  I returned from visiting my mom last time and thought of her a lot this weekend.  I'll tell you a little bit about my mom.  Besides being so patient, kind, hardworking and loving, she loves makeup, dressing up, pictures.  And as a result, she expects the same from me.  For example while getting ready for church, she said "you are wearing that?" and while in church she handed me the lip gloss and asked me to apply some.  Seeing me in this outfit, she'd say " isn't that slit is too high"  What can I say, she is honest too haha

Speaking of a slit, I liked this skirt because from the back it looked like most pencil skirts but from the front the slit adds a surprise.  Because I thought the slit was sexy, I added a more conservative top with black heels and bag.
Thanks for stopping by!

Not 50 Shades of Grey!

Hope your weekend went well.  Hubby and I grabbed some travel books from B&N for travel details as regards to locations, hotels, and just general info on what to do on our upcoming trip to Europe.  We'd been to Spain and Italy years ago but planning on visiting other countries.  We'll definitely be in London area with family as well as others.  Any suggestions for must see/do things in Europe?

About this look, I love these portofino shirts and have some for work but love that they transition for outings too.  I'd wanted to pair these grey jeans with another top but after seeing the blogger from "Brooklyn Blonde" pair her shirt with gray pants, I tried the same but kept my heels gray too instead of her red.  These are my first pair of high waisted jeans and I liked the fit.

Thanks for reading! xx

Coral & Floral!

Happy new month! Hope you had a restful labor day weekend.  I did.  I saw a post on celebrity stylist June Ambrose' instagram on labor day which stated "let us realize that the privilege to work is a gift, that the power to work is a blessing, that love of work is success".  I loved it because I think it's sad that choosing not to work and being on government assistance long term has become the norm without a stigma.  I think government assistance is necessary for some but should not be abused.  I've lived in countries where people want to work but don't have the opportunity.  I think we should think of being able to work as a blessing although it's not always easy.

On a lighter note, as you might guess I love skirts and love how colorful and full this was.  I chose to keep the look still summery with one of the colors of the skirt, added a coral shirt, necklace and heels,
