Added Touch of a Baker boy hat & Slouchy boots!

Dress-ASOS (here), Bag- Chanel, Hat- Brixton/Nordstrom (here), Boots -DSW (similar).

New week, new chances for some new opportunities.  A lot of people hate Mondays but I love that it's a fresh start and an opportunity to accomplish certain goals even teeny tiny ones.  Anyway how was your weekend? I met up with a blogger friend this weekend and I can say without hesitation that blogging has given me the opportunity to meet some people that I might otherwise not have met and made some cool friendships out of it.

About this look, I am a fan of loose dresses and I love a cotton, easy white dress so when I saw this I had to have it because I know it'll be in heavy rotation this spring/summer and even fall if it lasts.  Because it's still a bit cool here, I paired it with this trendy baker boy hat, a bag, and slouchy boots which are so comfortable.  Do you like any of the pieces? thanks for stopping by!

Shades of Pinks & Lavenders!

Skirt- NY& Co (similar), Heels- Christian louboutin (similar/budget friendly here), Blouse- H&M (love this, similar), Bag- Gucci.

Hope your weekend went well! Before I get to the outfit, I wanted to share something that happened last week which made me happy.  I had recently taken a CPR course required by my job and had saved some brief parts to share on my ig stories just as a reminder for parents, friends, others the importance of basic CPR as this can save someone's life from a family member to a stranger.  I was hesitant to share this on my ig because sometimes I don't want to come off as "too medical" as I try to keep this a more style/beauty/mommy blog but I decided to share because I am trying to do what I think is best for me even if I think others will say whatever.  I shared it and approximately a week later, a follower who is a mother wrote me letting me know her baby had been choking and she had remembered what I had shared and was thanking me for sharing it and possibly saving her life.  I think the point here is we can manage to find ways to put different aspects of our lives in one in what we share if we think it could be for good and to go with our instincts.  I'll share her message to me on my ig story.  This is definitely going to be one of my highlights of 2018.

About this look, I wanted a fresh, springy look and with the pink/lavenders, I thought to add the nude heels and bag.  I think using a colorful shoe would've worked also but I wanted the pinks to pop so I added neutrals.  Hope you like and thanks for reading!

STYLE: Striped Shirt Dress!

Dress- Target/Who what wear (Similar, love this, this, this, this ), Watch & Bracelet- Klasse [c/o] (Here, Here), Bag- Celine, Booties- Shoe Dazzle (Similar, Similar, Similar).

Hello, hope your week went well.  So about the look, shirt dresses I have always loved because I like that they can be slightly androgynous which is fun sometimes.  I also like that they are usually easy to wear and this striped one was no different.  This photo was taken a few months ago when I was still a month or two after having the baby so this shirt dress I found to be great because I did not have to worry much about accommodating my newer tummy and months after baby I still wear it to work.  I simply picked one of the multiple colors from the dress and matched the booties and bag.  Do you like shirt dresses? I've shared some above, thanks for stopping by!

Motherhood: 5 Things I have Used the Least few months into Motherhood!

psalm 54:17
(please do not use picture without my consent)
Hello! So a few months into motherhood and I'm loving it although it's true as they say it's a challenging job. I wanted to use this post to share just five things I have realized that I hardly use or I have personally not utilized very much but have around the house.  It's not to say others don't use it much, but I have just not used these very much or at all so far.

1) Bottle warmers: some may use it a lot and although convenient, I have found that doing her bottles the good old fashioned way has been my go to method of heating up water and placing bottle in there for some time and testing the milk on the back of my hands for safe temperature.

2) Baby bath robes: I have a few of these and as cute as they are, I have just not used them very much.  I think I just don't keep her in the bath robe to just hang out because once I remove her clothing for a bath, she is bathed immediately and after the bath, I wrap her in a towel and dress her quickly so she doesn't get cold.

3) Teething toys: First of all I can tell you that teething medicines, necklaces are not recommended and not safe but some of the plastic teether toys that can be used, I have just not used them with her much.  It seems she uses her pacifier like one and has just not liked those very much so I don't even reach for them.

4) Baby wipe warmer: This seems like it would be convenient and although some might use it especially in colder areas, I have yet to use mine.  When I am changing a wet or dirty diaper, I just want to rush and get her clean so waiting to heat up the wiper is not something I have used and she tolerates the non warm wipes just fine.

5) Fancy, pricey shoes and clothing: Although this is nice and you might have them wear it once in a while maybe for church or holidays like Christmas, my baby like most are usually in comfortable onesies with the feet covered with or without sleeves.  These are just comfortable, easy to wash, none or minimal ironing required, and often times not pricey which is great because they outgrow their clothing and shoes fast.  I can say that I have worn shoes on my baby maybe 4 times and she has a few in her wardrobe.

If you are a mother, did you find any of these to be true for you too? Anyway, i'll be sharing more posts like this and let me know if there is something you'd like me to blog about on motherhood.  Thanks for stopping by!

Style: Floral Hi-Low!

Top- Blush Maison (Find link on instagram,. Love this, Similar), Heels-Gucci (Similar), Bag- Celine, Jeans- Express (Here).

Hello nd hope your week is going well.  I wanted to chat about styling a loose hi- low top.  For this look, I simply paired this hi lo floral top with jeans and added a colored bag too to compliment the look.  I love hi low tops because I think they can be worn with different pieces but when pairing a loose hi low top, I think it's best to keep the bottom more fitted like fitted jeans as seen here, white jeans, a pencil skirt, leggings, or black skinny trousers. I think pairing a top like this with a loose fitting, bulky bottom would only make the whole look appear not put together and just bulky.  What do you think of that? Thanks for stopping by!
