"Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations"

Hope you are having a good day! I'll just go straight to the point and say I hope people remember that although we don't always show every aspect of our lives on social media, I think there's the understanding that everyone has difficult days.  I just hope we realize that like the above quote states, difficult roads can often lead to beautiful destinations so hang in there.

With this look, I wanted to go more casual with this fun sleeved relaxed chambray dress so I simply added comfortable wedge sandals and a light  colored bag.  Sometimes comfort is key and a belted dress is a great option for comfort.  Thanks for visiting!

Jord & Jeans!

"Don't let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace"

Hello! So I was scrolling on Instagram I read something which made me think of the above quote.  It stated something about the smarter we get, the less we speak and I have to agree and I find that it goes hand in hand with not letting the behavior of others affect our peace.  If I'm attacked in any way including verbally or written, I can easily say or write something in return and defend myself.  But the older I get, I realize that the ones doing the attacking must be unhappy or have issues within themselves and since I cannot/will not deal with their issues, I can only control how I react to it.  How I choose to react is by rolling my eyes ha, praying for them, and not letting it affect my peace.

About this look, I wanted to add a pop of color to this white jeans, nude heels, and dark brown jord wood watch combo and did so with a summer trend, this green off the shoulder top.  I was gifted this watch and have to say I love that it's lightweight yet durable.  I picked this color because I needed a brown colored watch in my collection but there are so many other pretty color options.  If in need of a new watch or a gift idea, consider a jord time piece.

Here's a link where you can enter to win an e-gift card toward your own JORD watch. By following the link, you are instantly entered to win a voucher (worth $75). The winner is automatically picked and notified via email at the end of the giveaway. As a bonus, each loser will still receive an e-gift card for $20 off their own JORD watch.

Blogger Collab: An Ankara Duo!

"A good friendship requires two things, to find similarities and to respect differences"
Hello! So today I am excited to do my first blogger collaboration with Louisa the lovely blogger and pharmacist behind La Passion Voutee.  One of several reasons why I started blogging was to connect with other individuals and bloggers of similar interests or not, and I can say that I've been successful in that aspect because I have made some friendships through blogging and one such friend is Louisa.  I feel she is someone I would reach out to for lunch or coffee if we were ever in the same area.
For our collaboration, we styled Ankara (African inspired fabric) pieces.  I love how Louisa layered that pinafore dress in all black keeping the focus on the dress, and the dress it's self is so cute!  Her blog gives you great information on different topics like starting a blog, monetizing from your blog etc as well as styling some beautiful affordable pieces.  You can also find her here on Instagram, and facebook.  I on the other hand chose to bring out the red from the skirt, afterall ankara pieces are known to be vibrant and I did that by adding a red bag and heels, paired with a classic button up neutral white shirt.

A pop of Green!

"Let go of things you can't change, focus on things you can"

Dress- Zara (Here), Shoes- Amina Jillil (Here), Bag- Michael Kors (Similar).

Hello! Sorry I've been a bit away from blogging these past weeks.  I just had a lot going on recently but taking care of it all.  With being so busy, I felt I needed to put blogging aside for a little while instead of forcing myself to post.  I always want blogging to remain fun, a choice for me, instead of mandatory or obligatory.  I think when we have a lot going on at any given time, we should try to remember the quote above.
About this look, I wanted to add to this simple little black dress and figured a pop of color and the bows on the shoes would do so.  I initially wanted to wear heels but thought the bow flats are more fun and something different since flats are not always often worn.
