Flowy in Florals!

Hello, hope you are having a good week.  I was going through TV channels the other day and remembered a bloggers post weeks ago where she mentioned something about how sad it is that more people know all the Kardashians names but do not know more important information.  I could not agree with that more.

I think as a generation, we care so much about celebrities, especially the overnight ones, we know what is going on in the lives of each kardashian member (Kortney divorcing, Caitlyn Jenner, Kylie dating Tyga, Khloes finalized divorce, now Lamar being hospitalized sadly etc), but most of us do not know of the Syrian refugee issues, political turmoil which was in Burundi, Liberia being declared ebola free etc.  I think it is ok to know about entertainment news but to also be educated and exposed to other important issues globally.

Anyway about this look, I simply added black sandals, a black bag, and a different belt to this floral flowy long maxi dress with a slit.  I love maxi dresses because I think they are covered up, yet sexy and feminine. Thanks for reading!

Heels- Zara (Similar), Dress- New York & Company (SimilarSimilar), Necklace- Gift (Similar), Bag- Chanel (Love).

Love this bold floral print and colour on you Yvonne! Gorgeous dress and heels!
I can remember a time when the news/media actually report on real issues affecting the world as oppose to all the celebrity gossip & entertainment that seems to dominate all the news feeds. Celebrity stories use to be at the tail end of a news report and now it's usually the second if not the first story. Sad.

That is a very pretty dress! Looking good.. and I love those heels! πŸ™‚

I wholeheartedly agree with you! As a teacher myself.. I am always puzzled by the fact that the students know so much about celebrities, fictional characters, etc. … yet find it "too hard" to stay up-to-date about current news and world affairs. Let alone, have in-depth discussions about important issues.

Sure, there is always time for fun stuff.. but I feel there is no balance.

Nevertheless.. hope you had a great weekend! πŸ™‚

Wow thanks for your input. I am sure as a teacher you do unfortunately see the depth of this and I agree more balance is needed. And thank you very much, I'm glad you like the heels and dress
