I saw this quote on the eshakti website and I love it because I think it's true.  The quote stated "happiness is a matter of choice".  I also think when we have a choice, it makes us happy.  Speaking of choices, eshakti is a company that gives you choices and I know shoppers like that.  They give the customer a choice to be able to customize their picks ranging from the lengths, style (for example sleeves or sleeveless), and sizes which ranges from a size 0 to size 36.

I liked the navy striped skirt and went with the knee length thinking it could transition from day to night, but was nice having the option to go shorter or longer.  I styled the skirt with a fitted top underneath which when paired with the open toed laced top heels transitions into a night look but with the jacket over and maybe classic pointy heels, can be worn to work or church.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! So did you have Presidents' day off? I didn't but hubby did which made it harder going in to work.  I shared a picture on instagram which stated "I have to be successful because I like expensive things".  I like being able to afford most of what I want, expensive or not and also be able to give.  It's a type of independence I appreciate.  This quote was motivation for going into work today and most days, of course added with the fact that I actually love my job too.

About this look, I paired this tuxedo style dress I'd purchased months ago with tights and over the knee boots because it was a bit short and windy.  Hope you like and thanks for reading!

Leather & Stripes!

Skirt- ASOS (SimilarSimilar), Heels- Christian Louboutin (Here), Top- Zara (Similar), Bag- Michael Kors (Here), Necklace- Mesa Blue Jewelry (Here).

Hello, having a good week so far? I hope.  I was thinking of how fashion evolves.  I vividly remember wearing a red DKNY crop top while in high school over 15 years ago, and 3 yrs ago thinking I'd never wear one again until recently with it trending.  But there is a difference of how my crop top was worn over 15 years ago with a lot of midsection exposed, as opposed to now with almost no midsection being visible and paired with a higher waist bottom.

Besides adding the high waist leather skirt to balance the proportion of the crop top, I added the black heels and a pop of color with the necklace and bag.  I think this look works for valentine's day also with the red pops of red if not wanting to do a pink or red dress or skirt.  Happy Valentine's week!
