Hello! Hope you are having a good week so far.  When I look at these pictures, I think of 2 things, one being the importance of having a good tailor and two being spanx haha.  I am not one to wear spanx a lot, infact I think the last time I wore one was on my wedding day but I do think that with some unforgiving fabrics like with this skirt, it's a good idea and I should've worn one.  I also think having a tailor is always a great idea because they can make an item fit and look better.  I like this skirt but think I should've had a tailor take it in a bit as sometimes, we are just in between sizes.  Anyway I kept the look in all gray adding the gray t shirt, heels, silver necklace and silver detailed bag.  Thanks for reading!

Happy new week.  It's a short week for me because of Martin Luther king day which I had off of work and relaxed. I also took the day to reflect on what the day meant, being thankful for the brave like MLK jr whom because of his courage, I'm able to have the rights I have in the US today.  I believe as a society we still have a ways to go but appreciate how far we've come.  My favorite quote of his is one which always forces me to think of more I can do to help others.  It states "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?" Do you think of that?

About the look, I chose to keep the look in all black and white.  I paired this trendy black/white sweater with the flirty little black skirt, tights, bag, and booties.  I also added this faux pearl necklace and bracelet to add a touch of accessories but still within similar color hues.  Thanks for reading!

Hi guys!! Hope you are having a good week thus far.  Mine is ok as I'm recovering from flu-like illness which we are seeing a lot of at work.  Although I felt terrible, I must say it was not as severe as it could've been if i'd not taken the flu vaccine.  I'm basically stating my opinion of being pro vaccines including the flu vaccines.  I state this only because I sometimes see blog or instagram posts against vaccinations from individuals who have little to no medical knowledge or simply following some hollywood myths against vaccines and I dislike that.

On a lighter note, I've had most of these items of clothing in my closet for months and thought to wear the skirt with the focus on it being bright, and keeping the rest of the look in black. Thanks!

Happy new year! I hope you had a nice holiday.  Mine was restful and I spent some time with mom who visited and made it perfect.  Any new year resolutions? I shared on instagram a photo of my main goal which stated "my only goal in 2015 is to be happy.  Genuinely. Intensely. Consistently. happy".  In 2015, I will choose happiness because I believe happiness is a choice, although not always easy especially when faced with challenges...atleast not always an easy choice for me.

Anyway I saw one of my favorite bloggers (Wendy's lookbook) pair this baby blue skirt and browns/nude tones and liked it and thought to do same/similar with the nudes too, hence the pairing of this baby blue faux leather skirt, light brown/nude sweater and nude and gold accents.  Hope you like too & thanks for reading!
