Coral & Floral!

Happy new month! Hope you had a restful labor day weekend.  I did.  I saw a post on celebrity stylist June Ambrose' instagram on labor day which stated "let us realize that the privilege to work is a gift, that the power to work is a blessing, that love of work is success".  I loved it because I think it's sad that choosing not to work and being on government assistance long term has become the norm without a stigma.  I think government assistance is necessary for some but should not be abused.  I've lived in countries where people want to work but don't have the opportunity.  I think we should think of being able to work as a blessing although it's not always easy.

On a lighter note, as you might guess I love skirts and love how colorful and full this was.  I chose to keep the look still summery with one of the colors of the skirt, added a coral shirt, necklace and heels,

Skirt- Express (alternate color Similar), Shirt- Gift (Similar, Similar), Heels- Coach (Similar, Similar), Necklace- Forever 21 (Similar, Similar).

Thanks for stopping by! xo

  6. Pretty skirt and nice combination with the coral color.
All the best wishes in the new month.

  7. I am with you on the government assistance program issue. It should be more regulated to control the abuse of it. Anyway, I love how the skirt pops against that beautiful blouse. The colors look amazing on you!

  8. Well said. I think as a society we often forget how fortunate and blessed we are to live in North America. I think its sad when people take for granted the privilege to work or to be educated...there are so many people that would give anything to have the opportunities that we do and it makes me crazy when people take advantage of it.
On to your ootd - I love a skirt with pockets! This is a great look on you, its colourful and beautiful!! fun and flirty too :)

I wish I could get some assistance right now, as I'm unemployed but as an immigrant, I can't. I had worked my butt off because I like nice things BUT I know I have to work hard for them...not everyone gets the second part, lol
