Victoria's Secret!

Hope your valentine's/presidents day weekend went well.  As for me, valentines day was quiet but nice.  After working all day and eating chocolates from coworkers at work, Jason and I ordered in dinner and watched a movie.  I say love should be celebrated every day, not just on vday but whatever works.

Recently Victoria's secret had their huge semi annual sale and I like many shopped it.  I drifted away from the online sales and found these wide legged trousers.  I love wide legged pants because I think they work with different body types but I think they are better paired with heels especially if short.  I styled it one of my wardrobe staples, a white long sleeve shirt but added a bright necklace and bag.

Peter Pilotto & Mixed Prints!

I hope you had a nice weekend.  I attended a concert with my hubby and inlaws on Saturday and on Sunday, shopped the Peter Pilotto collection at Target.  My target had a good selection and was not crowded which was not great for my credit card because I had many pieces I loved, including this 2 piece mixed prints ensemble.  I think this will be great as separates too.  I was pleasantly surprised with the collection.  I thought the quality was good as it could be for the price point.  I also liked the fabric choices.  Most of the pieces  are lined and or have a thicker fabric which I liked.  I also found that most styles were true to size except the blazer and button down shirts I thought ran slightly big but not enough for me to go down a size.  Overall I loved this collaboration.
Speaking of loving many pieces and struggling with what to get knowing my hubby would see what I'd spent because I'd be using the one credit card we shared, I started wondering if sharing bank accounts is a good idea for a relationship.  My hubby and I have separate bank accounts but are considering whether to keep it this way or have it joint.  Sometimes I think having it joint would force me to be more aware and be a less impulsive shopper but also I wonder if it'd just cause more marital disagreements which is why I'm leaning towards separate.  Regardless I think whether shared or separate, there should be open communication on finances like everything else.  What do you think?

Happy new month! I hope you had a lovely weekend.  On Saturday, I had these pictures taken by a friends hubby who's a photographer and I plan on working with him more, he has a great eye for detail.  Later, I celebrated with a dear friend for her birthday which was so fun.  On Sunday, I watched the super bowl like most but didn't have a favorite.
About the outfit, I simply love skirts whether maxi, midi, or a mini like this.  I do however think when wearing a mini skirt, it should be paired with a top with more volume hence the chunky 'Rebelle' graphic sweater which was a sale find at forever 21.  I also wanted to wear these wedge booties before it gets warm here and thought to pair both pieces.  To add a pop of color, I wore a pink shirt and held the bright clutch.
