Dotted Line!

Hello!  hope you had a good weekend!! I am working on my last school project and although I'm glad it's the last one, I cannot seem to get the motivation to start it but I will make myself start as soon as I'm done blogging.  I tell myself that if I can blog, I can do it too ha.

Anyway about this outfit, I usually don't tend to wear tight fitted dresses so when I got this, I hesitated, but because of the higher neckline, long sleeves, and dotted look, I thought to give it a try as something different for me.  I decided to pair it with red & I like it.  I guess it's ok to sometimes get out of our comfort zones right?!

Deal Alert: is still having their anniversary sale!

My dear friend had taken the pic directly above on a different day which explains the necklace and different polish color and I chose to add to the rest of the other pics taken by my sister in law.

The Royal!

Hello! ok I realize everyone is talking about the royal baby but that's not what I'm referencing in the title.  The Royal is the resort we vacationed at last week in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  I have been to Juarez Mexico which is close to the Texas border and hugely different from the Mexico I experienced.  In a few words, Playa del Carmen was nicer, safer, and more touristy.  My hubby and I were invited to the wedding of our friends Carrie and Luke and we thought it'd be wonderful sharing their special day and also a great summer vacation opportunity.

I would highly recommend this resort for several reasons with the first being safety.  While at the ocean, I noticed there was security with guns hanging out.  At first thought, that would seem scary but then you realize they are there for your protection.  Also, there was more than enough bottled water provided even for brushing your teeth just to prevent any upset tummies from the water.  The staff was very nice and accommodating and made our beds/cleaned room/restocked more than once a day.  There was 24 hr room service with a stocked refrigerator for your convenience.  The food was good, not excellent but good and all inclusive from the restaurants within the resort, to across the street, the buffet, and coffee shops.  The resort offered entertainment, spas, had excursions and other fun things that one could do like parasailing but I must say I did nothing but eat, drink and lay on the cabana by the beautiful blue ocean. There was also a local market/shopping very close by for souvenirs etc.

Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend the Playa del Carmen and this resort.  The only thing I'd remind you to do is have several dollar bills to tip.  They appreciate as little as a $1 tip to whatever amount you feel like.  If you take any summer vacations or travel there sometime, enjoy!!

Pink & Yellow at Sunset!

I have really been enjoying blogging, something I started as a distraction from school to express my love of fashion and other things so much that even after a long day of school clinicals, I was still able to take some pictures for the blog although later in the evening as the sun was setting.  Besides these shorts being very comfortable, I was even more comfortable in the short shorts because I felt it was better balanced paired with a long sleeved shirt and simple pumps.

White with a hint!

Hello! hope you had a nice weekend!!  I was busy with school except for sunday when I hung out at my amazing in laws and was fortunate to have my sister in law Cameron take these pictures of me for the blog.  I have two sister in laws who I adore; Jason's brother's wife Cameron who's a great mother, a photographer and his sister Molly, whom I share a shopping habit with.  Did I mention we are all nurses too? Anyway as an only child,  I'd always hoped whoever I married would have siblings so I would always have that bonus family and I got just that.

About this outfit, white was easy because it's been so hot but I could not decide between the coral or yellow shoes so I wore both! Why not?!

Neon & Coral!

Hello, how was your wkend?  Mine was short but isn't everyone's?! On Saturday, I went to dinner on a double date with close friends, James and Dana and got to try a new sushi restaurant Sunny's.  It was good, great sushi is hard to find in the desert area.  And on Sunday, I did homework & rested.

Anyway about this outfit, neon and coral are two colors I love because I simply just love bright colors.  The neon top is one I wear a lot because of it's ease but as far as the shoe, I thought to keep it simple with nude shoes but figured I could still keep it simple with another pop of color so I chose the coral shoes which are surprisingly very comfortable.  I think I achieved a simple look with a pop!

Week of the 4th Mini!

The fourth of July was a nice break to relax a bit at home and watch a movie but not for too long because I had to go into work for a few hours at a night clinic as part of my school clinical hours.  By the way, it's working with no pay....actually my grade is my pay.  If not for the fact that I love seeing patients (children), it would make it difficult to go in today especially.  Anyway this is what I'll be wearing to a dinner with some friends this weekend.  The outfit is fun & pretty comfortable!

A Brown Pair

I love shoes and I especially love the more neutral colors I feel can be worn with a lot of options like a black, tan, gray, or a brown pair.  But somehow, I usually seem to have a slightly more difficult time finding pretty brown/tan shoes although I did purchase the express ones seen below recently.  So if you are like me, these are a few more options I found.  Hope you like!
